Start with current safety guidance, not app features

Use a separate home-security battery maintenance record for replaceable batteries and low-battery alerts. A phone notification cannot restore a weak local sounder.

Identify the exact Apple Home reporting path

There are three common architectures. A native or bridged alarm may expose a smoke or CO service to Apple Home. Keep privacy and access separate from alarm coverage

A smoke or CO alert may invite a remote camera check, but camera access is a separate privacy decision. Define which cameras may be viewed during an alarm, who may view them, whether audio is enabled, where clips are stored, and when access is removed. Do not place cameras in private areas simply to confirm an alarm.
