3. Choose the simplest credential that fits the stay

4. Keep lock state and door state separate

6. Protect privacy and keep access records proportionate

A lock history may reveal arrival times, departures, cleaner visits, and occupancy. Give account access only to people who need it, remove former managers promptly, and decide how long records should be kept.
