1. Confirm the window can safely hold the setup

4. Add direct sensing to the changed opening

A normal sash contact may no longer prove the opening is secure. Decide which condition matters: sash lifted, panel removed, side wing flexed, unit shifted, screen opened, or window left beyond an approved gap. Use a listed compatible contact or vibration sensor on a stable surface, and test before permanent mounting.
