A buyer should also treat app notifications, camera storage, cellular backup, automations, and monitoring as separate service questions rather than assuming every feature works in the unpaid state.

Start with the hub, not the bundle name

The hub is the system authority. It receives direct sensor events, maintains alarm modes, sounds or commands sirens, and exposes whatever integrations its hardware and software support. Bundle names can change while the hub differences remain consequential.
